Brave

I have been thinking very much about going home and all the large objects I will have to be moving, which made me think of this painting. I think it's my favorite painting that I've ever done. It's pretty wierd, but I just adore it. Right now it's above my fireplace, but I doubt I'll have a fireplace in my new apartment.

It's 3x4 ft and a hassle to move around. The frame makes it weigh almost as much as I do. Maybe I'll have some tall, strong people help me move. That would be ideal.

Wishes and Dreams

I am getting so excited about going back to school and moving into my new apartment! I have been looking at stuff online to make my apartment lovely (however, truth be told, I'm too cheap for such expensive things. I will likely buy everything from thrift stores). I have not posted in some time! Alas, I am lame and have not done much of interest the past days. I have made lots of new hair bows recently and I should have them up on etsy very soon. I don't want to list them too soon because shipping from Alaska is outrageous, so I'm going to list them as soon as I'm in Spokane and shipping is more reasonable. Also, some of my Jewlery will be up on etsy too, and all that has been in pictures on here. Sigh. I am hungry. I should go to sleep before 4 am, then maybe I wouldn't get hungry.

Golden Years

I am listening to David Bowie.
I am in an extremely foul mood because tivo is stupid and didn't record the season finale for So You Think You Can Dance. Because of this I don't feel like doing anything too creative, so we will play the "what random things are in my 'My Pictures' file" game.

Naturally.

I am of the opinion that Seattle is overrated. Going to a school at which 90% of the students are from western washington, I get a lot of "Seattle is the best thing to happen to America since Democracy" kind of enthusiam. I'm wary of anywhere that you can spend 3 hours in traffic to get somewhere. And it rains all the time. I like rain, but I'm not half aquatic. Sigh. Maybe it's just the people who like seattle whom I dislike and Seattle gets unfairly jumbled in with that. Or not.

Smoking is dumb. I would do it if it didn't make you smell awful, make your teeth yellow, and make you die. Oh yeah, and if it weren't expensive and addicting.

Here is another photo from my friend Bradley Wakefield. It is one of my absolue favorites. I think he did this with 35 mm film in a Holga. Or maybe it was a Diana. I'm not sure.

This was a day when there were only blue cars in my driveway. From closest to furthest: Mine, Neighbor's, roomie's, Love's, ex-roomie's. This picture delights me for some simple reason.

Hotcha Girls

Yesterday I got to go to my favorite store, Value Village! Also, I went to Michaels and got more barrettes to make bows. While I was there I found feather things which reminded me exactly of the Burlesque feather hair pieces I've been coveting from Pinup Girl Clothing! So I got three and I'm going to make them! I wore one today, jerry rigged cuz it's not on a clip or anything yet.I think I will add a flower to this one to make it more like the Pinup Girl one.

Today I went shopping for quite some time, mostly helping my mom get clothes for her job interview this week. It was pretty successful. I got a couple things too. My favorites were two very bright shirts from, once again, pacsun. I came home and put it on cuz it matched my bows, nails, and sunglasses! Matchy matchy, indeed, but very fun.

Also, I'm still doing the pincurl bang thing. It is so very fun and easy.
Right now I am making banana bread! So domestic of me. I also bleached a chunk of my little brother's hair. It was my first time bleaching by myself. It looks good! Doing new things is fun.

My mom found this beautiful sterling silver and turquoise bracelet that she wore when she was young. She gave it to me! It's so lovely.

I have so many cool shoes that I haven't featured on here yet... maybe someday I will do a shoe post and share them in all their glory. For now, I have to get back to cooking banana bread and watching Rambo: First Blood.
