Psychobilly Freakout

I don't often want something very badly, but I want these bags VERY BADLY. Unfortunately they are outrageously expensive and I'm not sure I want to spend all my tips I've made this summer on them. They are by Trophy Queen, I found them on my favorite of sites, Pinup Girl Clothing.

Right now I am trying to convince myself that it's reasonable to pay $368.00 for a purse and a bag. It's going to take a lot of self-manipulation.

Tresses and Dresses

Ah, tonight was fun. I only had to work 4 hours this afternoon, so I came home and did myself up as closely as I could get to Micheline, since that was what I was hooked on today. Anyway, this was the result:

I think I am going to do my hair like this very often now that I've discovered how to do it. I always have done the beehive, but the curl at the end of the side bang is so pinup I can hardly stand it!

I also got to wear my fun red heels that I neglected to capture today. Perhaps tomorrow I will show you all how fun they, in fact, are. That's all for tonight. It's late!

Still Raining

So much fun stuff! Today I made lots of bow barrettes and a couple jewelry items. I will show them to you!

First, a big necklace with a rock and pendant. Also, a new bracelet.

Then, another new bracelet and two pairs of dangley earrings.

So that's some of what I've been doing this weekend. But what I'm really excited for is these barrettes that I'm making with ribbon and stuff:

I adore making these barrettes, it's a blast. It's rather addicting actually. I made all of them today, so they're pretty fast too.

Other than making things, I dyed my own hair and bleached some of my brother's. That was pretty fun. I think my next making things project is going to be making a large tote out of my car's old upholstery. I reupholstered my car six years ago and the upholstery became a slip cover for the couch I had in my room. Since we have been redoing my room, the couch got thrown but I didn't want to throw out the upholstery because it's so cool. I will probably have a new tote/purse/both soon.

So these are some lovely items. I want the purse quite a lot, I must say. I'm glad I dyed my hair black again, I like it's normal color, but black is new and fun.

The Raindrops

Today was quite a day. I was bitten by the creative-sies and burst out my mother's old beading kit. But first, a very comfortable outfit for a rainy day:

On to the more exciting part of my day: Making jewelry!!!

Today I made two necklaces, a bracelet, and two pairs of earrings! I also found these adorable plane earrings at Value Village and am going to make one into a necklace and the other into a barrette.
It is exciting to make jewelry (especially bracelets) because it's so hard to find stuff that fits my little wrists. I don't have pierced ears though, so I will probably be selling my earrings on Etsy soon. Probably some necklaces too. Feels good to be creative again.
